{Happy Birthday} Card & Tutorial ~Glitz Design~

Hi there!
Hope you are enjoying your Saturday!
Today I`m sharing a card and
providing a step by step tutorial with it as well.
I created it especially for Glitz Design`s Bog!
I also made this card for a special friend who
had a birthday yesterday :-)!

SUPPLIES LIST:
{Yours Truly} Floral
{Yours Truly} Washi Tape Yellow Polka
{Yours Truly} Rubber stamps
{Hello Friend} Bokeh
{Hello Friend} Whatnots
{Hello Friend} Rubber Stamps
{Cashmere Dame} 6 x 6 paper pad

INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP 1:
  • Use white card stock to cut your own card with size 9" x 12".
  • Fold in two and turn the card vertically. That means upper part of the card is 4.5" and the vertical one 6" long.
STEP 2:
  • Use your favorite edge punch to decorate the bottom part of the card.

STEP 3:
  • Choose two different pattern papers - I chose here Hello Friend`s Bokeh (12"x12") and Cashmere Dame`s Chevron from the paper pad (6"x6")
STEP 4:
  • Cut 1" strip from The Chevron paper and place the Yellow Polka Washi Tape on top - exactly in the middle.
STEP 5:
  • The Bokeh paper was sized according to the size of the card. Ink the edges using the color matching your pattern paper.
  • Optional: Hand-stitcha rectangle along the edges.
  • Once ready adhere both pieces on your card.

STEP 6:
  • Use the floral motif and stamp randomly over the punched card stock .
  • Use two colors of ink and apply randomly here and there just to give some color.
  • N.B. I used StazOn black ink which is perfect to apply more colors of ink on top.

STEP 7:
  • Stamp three butterflies and cut them out. I used StazOn ink!
  • Color them in.

STEP 8:
  • Take your Floral pattern paper and cut out 9 blue roses.
  • Choose three yellow leaves and cut them out as well.

STEP 9:
  • Place the scallop circle on the left bottom side of the card.
  • Now you are ready to add your embellishments and decorate your card.

STEP 10:
  • As a final touch add some pearls - in my case I added light blue pearls.
  • And in the end you are ready to add your title "Happy Birthday" - I used a chipboard phrase from Imaginarium Designs. It was painted in white and inked with the same colors as seen in Step 6.

Well, that was for today! I hope you enjoyed my step by step!
